Blockwright Academy — Privacy Policy
What happens to information when you use the website and the education platform. The agreement itself is in the Terms of Use. The mobile application, Blockwright Wallet, has its own documents.
Sections describing the education platform are marked where the feature is not yet in operation. We do not begin any processing described in them before the feature ships.
The short version
- The website is a set of static files. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no forms, no tracking.
- The education platform identifies you by a blockchain address you connect — never by an email and password, never by your legal name.
- Progress made without connecting anything will stay in your own browser (not yet in operation).
- A profile and a certificate are public by design — that is what they are for.
01What is this policy about?
It explains what information exists when you use blockwright.dev, who can see it, how long it lasts, and what you can do about it.
02What information do we collect?
2.1 On the website — nothing
blockwright.dev is a set of static files. There is no application server, no database and no session. Pages are built in advance and served as plain HTML.
There is nothing to type into. No contact form, no newsletter box, no comment field, no login. That is deliberate: if you want to reach us you send an email, and then you know exactly what you have disclosed.
The site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
2.2 What your browser does on its own
- Language detection. Opening the root address runs a small script that reads the language list your browser advertises and sends you to the Russian or English page. The value is read in your browser, used immediately, never stored and never transmitted.
- Local progress (not yet in operation). Once lessons exist, working through free material without connecting a wallet will store your progress in your own browser. It will stay on your device, will never be sent to us, and clearing your browser data will erase it.
2.3 On the education platform (not yet in operation)
Once you connect a wallet, the following exists:

We never ask for your legal name, your date of birth, a photograph, a document, or a payment card.
2.4 What we do not collect, anywhere
No advertising identifier, no tracking pixel, no session recording, no fingerprint, no behavioural profile, no data purchased from a third party, and nothing about you from any other service.
03Where does information go that is not ours?
3.1 Hosting
The site runs on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like every web server it writes a log line per request — typically your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. Those logs are generated and kept by Google under its own policies. We do not use them to build profiles and we combine them with nothing.
3.2 What the build fetches, and what your browser fetches
The build-status and reading-list sections stay truthful without anyone publishing a new version of the site by hand — but the build fetches that data, not you. Milestones and article text are requested from GitHub on our side, before the page ever reaches the host, and compiled into the finished HTML. These legal documents are read there too, from disk. No request of yours ever reaches GitHub.
Article illustrations are ours too. The articles were first published elsewhere, and at first the pictures still loaded from those platforms' CDNs — which would have meant the platform seeing your IP address and which article you opened. They are downloaded during the build now and served from this domain.
No external host is contacted. There is no analytics provider, no tag manager, no font service, no embedded video and no advertising network anywhere on the site.
3.3 Email
Messages you send us are handled by Proton, our email provider.
3.4 Payments (not yet in operation)
Payment is made in cryptocurrency, on-chain. There is no payment processor, and we never see a card number, a bank account or a billing address. The payment transaction is public on the blockchain like every other transaction.
04How do we use your information?
Only to run the thing you asked for:
- 1To show you your own progress and to resume it where you left off.
- 2To run your submitted code against the automated checks and return the result.
- 3To issue a certificate you have earned and to let anyone verify it.
- 4To show the public profile you chose to create.
- 5To restore your access, if you added a recovery email and asked us to use it.
- 6To answer an email you sent us.
We do not use it to advertise, to profile you, to score you, to sell anything to anyone, or to train a model.
05How is your information shared?
We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising. We run no advertising business and have no plan to start one.
Information reaches others only as described in section 3, plus:
- Publicly, when you chose that — your profile and your certificates exist to be shown.
- When the law requires it — see section 8.
06What about the blockchain?
Your identifier on the platform is a blockchain address, so this matters here too.
- Addresses are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Connecting an address to a public profile with a nickname links everything that address has ever done to that nickname, forever and for everyone.
- Payments are public transactions and cannot be reversed, edited or deleted.
- Nothing recorded on a blockchain can be erased by us, by you, or by anyone. No right in section 9 reaches it.
Consider using an address that is not your main one for a public profile.
07How long is information kept?

08How do we respond to legal requests?
If we receive a valid and binding legal demand we will comply with it. Given how little exists, the truthful answer to most demands is that we hold no identity for the person behind an address.
09How can you manage or delete your information?
Write to legal@blockwright.dev and we answer within 30 days. You may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, export it, restrict it, or stop processing it.
Two honest limits:
- For the website alone, the answer will be that we hold nothing about you.
- Nothing on a blockchain can be deleted. See section 6.
10Who is responsible, and how do you contact us?
Blockwright is built and run by one person, working under a pseudonym. There is no company, no legal entity and no staff. The site takes no account details from you and runs no user database.
To the extent that anything here is personal data under a law that applies to you, the person operating Blockwright is answerable for it:

11Children
The service is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old, or older where your law requires it. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has provided us with information, write to legal@blockwright.dev and we will remove it.
12How will you know if this policy changes?
The version number and effective date at the top change, and the change is recorded at the end. A substantive change is announced on the Telegram channel before it takes effect, not quietly afterwards.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
International transfers. Hosting and email providers operate globally, so data may be handled outside your country.
Automated decision-making. The automated checks grade the code you submit. They decide whether an exercise passes — not anything about you as a person, and they produce no legal or similarly significant effect. You can always ask a human to look: write to us.
S2California and other United States state privacy laws
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and never have. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose requiring an opt-out.
Categories collected in the twelve months before the effective date: none from website visitors. Once the platform operates, the only categories will be identifiers (a blockchain address, a nickname), internet activity limited to your own progress, and — if you choose to provide it — one email address.
You have the right to know, to delete, to correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Write to legal@blockwright.dev.

We apply the protections in this document to everyone, everywhere, whether or not a local law requires it. Where your own law gives you more, your law wins.
